The PeaceStartup Internship Programme offers eligible students the opportunity to acquire direct practical experience in PeaceStartup´s work from wherever location. The PeaceStartup Foundation is active in various functional areas related to its mission: Programme and Policy, External Relations and Operations.
Internships are offered depending on the needs of the PeaceStartup Foundation and the local PeaceStartup Ambassadors, and the capacity to receive and supervise interns.

The PeaceStartup Intership Programme offers practical work. Aside from helping to understand PeaceStartup´s mission, programmes and main thrusts, it also enhances academic knowledge with relevant work assignments that can help interns prepare for future career.
The PeaceStartup Foundation establishes also collaboration agreements with Universities and training institutions to enable the access of students to the Internship Programme as part of the academic experience.
To be considered for an internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years.
Be over 18 years old.
Be proficient in PeaceStartup working languages: English and Spanish.
Highly motivated with interests in peace, SDGs, technological ventures, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Be able to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment.
Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
Additional consideration will be given to any past professional experience.
The intern will bring assistance to local counterparts, the local PeaceStartup Ambassador and the PeaceStartup Foundation Global Hub team based in Barcelona. Her/his role will be to give support to activities such as:
Organizing events and meetings with key actors at local level (businesses, academics, governmental agencies, accelerators, incubators, venture funds, etc.).
Understanding the context and the SDGs challenges in the region.
Honing the ability to connect with different stakeholders at local level and building trust.
Communicating with entrepreneurs, partners and other participants of the technology start-up ecosystem.
Building relationships with people who can serve as advisers or mentors.
Expanding the network to include other like-minded students.
Building a network of would-be funders.
OF THE INTERNSHIP
The duration of the internship would be 120 hours (5 hours/week).
There is no compensation, financial and otherwise for internship assignments, except for travel expenses when attending meetings and events.
